This is the recipe that we are having for dinner tonight…. I am sitting here salivating at the smell of it cooking in my crockpot.  I will give you my take on it after we eat dinner tonight… if it tastes half as good as it smells I have a feeling it will get rave reviews from me, LOL!

Kitty Litter Cake!

Do you love cool and fun Halloween recipes as much as I do?  This recipe is one that I used years ago when I had a Halloween party for my teenagers.  My youngest daughter was born on Halloween 2 years ago.  When my babies’ birthdays fall on a weekday I usually do a special dinner for them, have a small family sized cake, and give them one gift so that they are still made to feel special on their special day.  This year I decided to make this cake for my baby girl for a fun family Read more […]

It’s the holiday time of year again!  I get so excited when I start to see all the fall flavors starting to show up everywhere.  I wanted to share a fall flavor with you myself!  This isn’t my recipe, but it is a yummy one! This would make an easy and great recipe to make with your little ones!  I would love to hear your thoughts on it if you decide to try it!  Let me know how it went, if you omitted or added anything the recipe, and how it turned out!  Happy Fall Y’All! First Birthday Smash Cakes – Yay Or Nay?

Have you done or do you plan to do a smash cake for your little one’s first birthday?  For those of you who may not be aware of what a smash cake it, it is often a much smaller replica of the baby’s real birthday cake that is given to the baby to smash, eat, wear, etc!  I have 5 children and I have done a smash cake with all of them except my baby boy that is only 6 months old… but never fear, he will get one too!  They are so much fun for the baby and it is too cute to watch what Read more […]

Banana Nut Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

I just have to share this recipe with you guys!  This is absolutely one of the best cakes I have ever eaten!  It is very easy to make and it is super flavorful!  It is very moist too, which is a huge plus in my household.  Paula Deen outdid herself when she came up with this recipe.  I don’t think I have ever run across a recipe of hers that I have tried that I haven’t liked.  The next time I make it, I’ll try to take a picture of it for you.  The picture in the Read more […]

Skillet Chili Mac

My family and I had this for dinner last night and it was so  yummy!  It is a great one skillet meal (or one big pot for me because we doubled the recipe and I didn’t have a skillet that big, ha ha!).  I cooked cornbread to go along with this and it was a big hit with my family.  As I was cooking dinner I thought about making Mexican cornbread to go along with it, but I didn’t have all of the ingredients on hand and didn’t have time to run out for them so next time I will do that. Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak

Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak

I cooked this recipe the other night for my family and I must say, we loved it!  It was super easy and tasted so yummy!  We chose to eat it over rice, but I would say that it would be equally good over noodles.  I cooked the recipe just like it says below with no changes.  If you decide to give this a try, let me know what you think!  Also, if you make any changes or additions, please let me know so that I can give them a try! Neiman-Marcus Cake

Neiman-Marcus Cake

This is an awesomely delicious recipe that was shared with me by my good friend, Susie Hale!  I just had to try it today, and I have to say that it is one of the best cakes I have EVER eaten!  My husband, who really isn’t much of a cake person, ate TWO whole pieces and kept raving about how good it is. If you read Susie’s notes, you will see that you can add nearly anything that your heart desires to this cake (nuts, chocolate chips, candy pieces, etc).  This makes it one heck of a versatile Read more […]
