The song that immediately comes to mind is “Always On My Mind” by Elvis Presley or Willie Nelson. My Dad is not a very romantic or overly expressive person about his feelings so when he chose this song for my Mom’s funeral when she passed away it was so fitting and perfect that now every time I hear it I think of that and it makes me realize just how much he really did love her.

Quite honestly… I had NO idea what a fanfic was when I read this, ha ha! I had to Google it and find out what it meant. Apparently a fanfic is a story written from the idea/character, situation, etc from another book. For instance, there have been a lot of books written based off of the Harry Potter stories. One of the best, but most heartwrenching, books I’ve ever read is A Child Called “It”. This book was written by Dave Pelzer who, unfortunately, was this child. I highly recommend everyone to read this, but be warned that it is a vivid account of the abuses he suffered while growing up and there are sequels that continue to describe his journey and how he overcame it and became the man he is today. One of my all time favorite books is The Hobbit! I am really excited about this being made into a movie and I can’t wait to see it!
